2015年托福考試獨立性寫作例文

　　一篇作文的題目翻譯成“命題”更加切題，同樣一個命題，在不同的考生眼里可以develop 出不同的 thesis statement ( 中心論點)，每一篇托福獨立性寫作必須有一個中心論點，而且只有一個中心論點。通常，一篇獨立性寫作的中心論點分解成三個分論點：general idea (分論點)，由三個段落去論述;在段落中，分論點的稱呼是 topic sentence (主題句);這三個包含有主題句的段落合稱為 body (正文)。正文中的三個分論點又由另外一個重要的作文要素 supporting details ( 支撐細節)去闡述。這便是托福獨立性寫作的核心三要素：中心論點，分論點和支撐細節。

　　Even though I am an engineer, I have to say that introduction to Art History is the most important class I have ever taken. In this class I had the opportunity to learn new things, not only about art, but about other areas as well. I had a teacher who inspired me. And, believe it or not, it was important to my career as an engineer.

　　The course not only had interesting content but also a very inspiring teacher. My art history professor had a lot of enthusiasm for her subject, and she was able to convey that enthusiasm to her students. Even though I am in a different field, this professor was a sort of role model for me. It is always inspiring to see people who love their work, no matter what it is. As I pursue my career as an engineer, I often think of this professor and hope that I bring the same enthusiasm to my own work.

　　Art History should be a required course for everyone because it teachers you about so many things. I learned not only about art,but also about history, religion, literature, and mythology. These are subjects I didn’t learn about in my engineering classes, so it was a wonderful opportunity for me.

　　Studying art history taught me some things about the history of engineering. In old paintings, I saw how buildings and bridges were built in the past. I saw how cities were planned. I realized that I could learn about my own field in different ways.

　　I learned a lot of things in my art history class. I learned about art ,about engineering, and about other things I hadn’t imagined. Both the subject and the teacher inspired me to expand my mind. I an very glad that I took this class.
