Ⅰ.核心學習：標識牌的種類和他們的用途
Michael: How is the new job treating you?
邁克爾：你的新工作怎么樣?
Billy: Fine, except one thing.
比利：除了一件事，別的都好。
Michael: What’s that?
邁克爾：什么事?
Billy: My office has too many badges. I just can’t keep track of them all.
比利：我們公司要求戴很多標識牌，特麻煩，我對它們老是搞不清楚。
Michael: I understand. I myself don’t understand office hours or badges.
邁克爾：我明白。我自己也總是對公司的辦公時間和標識牌搞不清楚。
Billy: Let’s put our minds together and come up with a business English lesson about badges.

Ⅱ.單詞簡析
1) Office hours: open and closing times, hours of operation
辦公時間，即公司、單位上班到下班的時間
ex:Our office hours are Mon-Fri from 9AM to 5 PM.
我們公司的辦公時間是周一到周五的上午9:00至下午5:00。
2) Badge: a small sign you wear that contains your name and photo and other info
證件：你戴的小標牌，上面標明你的姓名、照片和其它一些信息
ex:You must wear your badge at all times in our corporate office.
你在公司期間必須時刻佩戴公司標識。
3) (ID) Identification: says who you are
身份證、說明你的身份
ex:Please show the police your ID.
請向警方出示你的身份證。
4) Security: guards or something dealing with safety
保安：門衛或其它負責安全事務的員工
ex:Go to the security office to pick up a visitor’s badge from the security guard.
請到保衛部從保安那拿來訪標識牌。
5) Visitor: a guest or customers
訪問者：顧客或來訪者
ex:My office had some special visitors from Mexico.
我的辦公室里有一些從墨西哥來的特別來訪者。
6) Radiation badge: a badge that measures how much radiation you are exposed to
輻射檢測標識：一種證件標識，可以檢測你可能遇到的輻射程度
ex:If your radiation badge turns red, you had better go to the hospital.
如果輻射標識牌上的紅燈亮你最好去醫院了。
