　　今天我們要學的詞是survivor。

　　Survivor幸存者。"A cancer survivor," 癌癥存活者；"a plane crash survivor," 墜機事件的幸存者，"a Holocaust survivor," 納粹大屠殺的幸存者。"The last survivor of the Titanic died Sunday at the age of 97," 泰坦尼克號的最后一位幸存者星期天去世，享年97歲。泰坦尼克號沉船事件發生時，她只有兩個月大。

　　美國海軍不久前舉辦活動，紀念65年前在珍珠港發生的所謂“第二次珍珠港災難”，那次爆炸事故造成一百多人喪生。雖然這起事件鮮為人知，"but the events of that day remain vivid to its survivors," 但是對事件幸存者來說，當天的情形還歷歷在目。
