六年級感謝生活作文
All employers want to hire employees who have a solid command of language and who can represent them in a professional and respectable manner.

Cover letters which contain grammatical errors will cast doubts on your ability to communicate effectively if you are hired. In addition to spell checking your application documents, it's important to check your letters for grammatical errors.
Here are a few common grammatical errors to avoid:
Inadvertently using the wrong form of words with multiple spellings plagues many writers who aren't careful. The most common errors involve the use of "their" instead of "there" or "they're," "it's" in lieu of "its," "whose" instead of "who's" and "you're" when you should use "your."
Run on sentences are another indicator that a writer is struggling with grammar. Piecing together too many phrases, especially without conjunctions, can lead to run-on sentences. Short and relatively simple sentences are usually most effective in cover letters.
Using affect and effect improperly is a common mistake. Generally affect should be used as a verb meaning to impact or influence while effect should be used as a noun meaning result.
Make sure that you use singular verbs with singular subjects and plural verbs with plural subjects. Remember that a compound subject requires a plural verb as in "John and Jane were absent from school."
Be careful that you don't change from singular to plural as in this phrase - "an athlete should always maintain their conditioning regimen." Proper options would be "athletes should always maintain their conditioning regimen" or an athlete should always maintain his or her conditioning regimen."
Extra, empty language should be avoided in your cover letters. Phrases like "In my opinion" and "As a matter of fact" clutter up letters and don't help employers to understand more about your qualifications.
