　　After many hours of research, we finally

　　figured out the procedure. We had to create

　　a Web Part Library using a template in Visual Studio, and code our functionality

　　inside. In this case, it pulls the total number of jobs assigned of a particular user from

　　the database of the job queue applications. To deploy the web part, we have to zip

　　the web part into a cab package, and install it into the Global Assembly Cache on the

　　server that hosts the portal. Finally, we have to go inside SharePoint Portal and

　　import the web part into the system. From this

　　point on, all the users need to do is to

　　drag the inboxes of those applications onto their page.

　　Conclusion

　　These web parts help user to get all the convenient and relevant information for

　　users in one location. It dramatically im

　　proves productivity, and user to be more

　　efficient. The project was unique because we had to do a lot of research ourselves

　　to make it work. It was a good problem solving experience for me.
