In 1997, is the seventh the nation-wide, theme is: assistive and self-improvement. The nation-wide day 1998 is the eighth, the theme is: poverty alleviation. 1999 is the ninth the nation-wide, theme is: accessibility and visual first. In 2015, is the topic of the nation-wide: care to help the disabled, achieve better the Chinese dream.

助殘日是從1991年開始舉辦的，助殘日主題是：宣傳殘疾人的保障法。1992年是第2個全國助殘日，主題是：走進每個殘疾人家庭。1993年是第3個助殘日，主題是：扶助共進。1994年是第4個助殘日，主題是：我們同行——為遠南殘疾人運動會獻愛心。1995年是第5個助殘日，主題是：一助一，送溫暖。1996年是第6個全國助殘日，主題是：預防殘疾，增進健康。1997年是第7個全國助殘日，主題是：助殘與自強。1998年是第8個全國助殘日，主題是：扶貧解困。1999年是第9個全國助殘日，主題是：無障礙與視覺第一。2015年全國助殘日的主題是：關心幫助殘疾人,實現美好中國夢。
每到助殘日的時候，大家都幫助貧困的殘疾人。
