　　餅圖寫作題目范例：

　　WRITING TASK 1:

　　You should spend about 20 minutes on this task.

　　* The charts below show US spending patterns from 1966 to 1996.

　　* Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

　　You should write at least 150 words.

　　餅形圖與柱形圖或者是線形圖所截然不同的是它沒有了橫軸與縱軸，而以餅形的分割來表示百分比，但我們仍可以依照三步的審題分析法來進行觀察：

　　Step 1: 觀察共有幾張餅圖，以及它們之間的關系是什么(一般說來，雅思圖表題中極少見到單餅圖);

　　Step 2: 觀察每張餅圖中有哪幾個區域，以及各個區域分別代表什么;

　　Step 3: 觀察單個餅圖中各區域間的百分比差異，以及相同區域在各個餅圖間的百分比的比較或發展。

　　由于餅圖主要以比例說明和數字列舉為主，我們需要在考前準備好以下素材：

　　① 動詞“占”的表達：

　　account for, hold, make up, take up, constitute, comprise, represent

　　② 百分比的表達

　　percentage, proportion, share, 某些情況下可以用rate一詞，如literacy rate

　　③ 約數表達

　　the majority of, most of, a considerable number of, a minority of , just over…, slightly more than…/less than…, nearly half… 等

　　④ 確切數字表達

　　分數與百分比的轉化：one third, two fifths，one tenth

　　常見表達：a quarter, a half

　　⑤ 句式

　　要靈活運用以上的詞匯結合一定的句子，變換表達方式。

　　例：亞洲人口占世界比例近50%。

　　— Asia accounts for almost a half of world population.

　　— Nearly 50% of people in the world come from Asia.

　　— The percentage of Asian in the world population is slightly less than a half.

　　— Asia has the largest percentage of population in the world (approximately 50%).

　　⑥ 排序段

　　在列舉餅圖數據時，為了防止單調枯燥，我們常常運用排序的方式進行說明：

　　— China takes the lead in world population.

　　類似的表達還有“be leading, the majority, mostly, most等”

　　— Next comes food, whose percentage is higher than that of clothing.

　　類似的表達還有“follow”

　　— People seem to show no interest in reference books, which lies last in the percentage.

　　類似表達還有“fall behind other items, the lowest proportion”.
