1. 解詞釋義
A red-letter day在西方國家用來表示盛大的或具有紀念意義的日子。翻譯為：“值得紀念或喜慶的日子”，也就是我們中文中說的“大喜的日子”“黃道吉日”。對于某人來說是大喜日子，在a red-letter day的后面用介詞for。

Ps 1：raise sb。 to the manage level的意思是“提升某人為管理階層”。
Ps 2：conference是“會議”的意思，in conference的意思是“在開會”，hold a conference的意思是“舉行會議，舉辦會議”。例如：
The Director is in conference now.

Many international conferences are held in Geneva.
